    3G iPod touch
    Hello;

    I have a new iPod Touch 3G, and I'm getting poor WiFi performance. Sometimes websites will load quickly in Safari, sometimes they take forever. Can't login to apps like Pandora and Slacker, eventually I get a message like "cannot connect, check your network settings." I was able to load the App Store after a long time, but have not yet been able to get the iTunes app to load. If I ping my iPod Touch, I usually either get lost packets or a very long ping time ("latency"?).

    Before I return this, is there any way I can diagnose exactly what's going on?

    Thanks in advance.

    It doesn't sound like its wifi, it sounds like your internet is slow.

    All other WiFi devices are performing fine, including my wife's first gen iPod Touch.

    I also had this issue before with my iPod Touch 3G. Usually after browsing few webpages the connection with the WiFi would disconnect. So I went back to the store where I bought it from ( DickSmith NZ ) and got a brand new replacement. (3G of course) The new one that I got never got a problem with WiFi anymore.

    So my advice, take it back to the store you bought it from. And goodluck!
