Well... as of last night, I'm 95% sure I lost my Ipod touch (or it was stolen.)

So, I'm most likely getting a new Ipod, but I want to make sure that I know how to restore from the backup from my lost one. I backed it up/synced it like 5 days ago, so its pretty current... but if I get a new Ipod, when I plug it into itunes to sync, how do I get the backup from the old ipod? and since my old one was 2nd gen, and this new one will be 3rd gen, will it backup properly?

I just want to make sure I get everything back from my most recent backup, and not just have to start all over...

    Thanks,

    Sam

Thats no problem. When a new iPod is connected you can select:
    -Configure as New Device.
    -Configure with Backup.
