New iPod Classic model in Patent?

    This doesn't have anything to do with a new iPod Classic.....

    It's giving Apple different ways to detect abuse on an iPod.

    Anyways, interesting. If this goes through you'll pretty much never be able to get your iPod replaced.
    Obviously not in older models, but new iPhones and iPod touches.

    Think about it: What's the point in the Apple Care Plan?
    Unless there is faulty hardware, they won't replace anything for you. They'll tell you to restore it.
    And if there IS anything wrong, it's mostly likely your fault, 'not Apple's'

    You're pretty much paying $60 for nothing.

    Did you even read that before posting it? I did not see anything mentioning a new iPod classic model.

    Not happening. Patent images often look different than the real thing would if the device is just for demonstration purposes.
