Since I got my iPod Touch last christmas (2007) i jailbroke straight away, and i must say that in preffered the installer that was back on 1.1.1 - 1.1.4

now it seems as if Cydia is the main way of installing 3rd party apps and not many people use installer anymore.

heres a few pics of the new installer 4 and cydia

Now, i wanted to know, which of the installation methods you prefer?

    Cydia on 2.X
No-one will disagree since Installer is awful.

Installer 3 used to be the best thing, I used to love it, but then 2.x.x came and it just couldn't handle it. oh well
I voted for installer 3 btw

I know everyone thinks installer sucks...but I really think it is making a come back. Its not as bad as it was a few months ago at least.

Once you add the right sources, you can find some nice stuff in there that you won't find in Cydia!

Installer had my vote back in the good ol' days, and it pained me greatly to see its downfall with 2.X, but it really can't compete with Cydia...Yet.

    Yeah, like pirated software.

And even the pirates started making their own distribution software rather than deal with Installer 4.

At this point, most everything's on App Store or Cydia... and Cydia crashes less, and without causing SWoD's on top of everything else.

    Before 2.x: Installer.

    After 2.x: Cydia.
