This may be in the wrong section, but I found it more relevant here than anywhere else. I have recently installed the toolchain and have been playing with it. I gotta say that this is kinda fun even though I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing yet. So far, I can make alert sheets and a slide to unlock screen and basic functions happen such as reboot, and respring etc.

Anyway, I just thought of an Idea in my noobishness. What if we created a database that was just sample code and screenshots showing the examples? it would personally help me out as I learn this language, but I think it would help others in the same spot as me.

I can start on it, but I don't yet know how to make transitions between views etc, so it might be a few days before I am ready to start on a database. Let me know if you think this would be a good idea. If not, it was just a thought

I'm not sure this is such a great idea.

2.0 is on the verge of release and even if most people don't upgrade right away - EVENTUALLY they will. And these API's are going to wear out soon. Maybe this is better suited for the "Official 'Cocoa-Touch' Section"

There is more than likely going to be a jailbreak community for 2.0as wel, the AppStore isn't going to just wipe us off the map. Paying for everything will suck, the SDK just gives us insight on makin better apps. The 2.0 tolchain is available if I'm not mistaken, or close at least.

Yes senor. BUT - you will not code like you used to for 1.1.4

for example - in 2.0 there is no UIAlertSheet

That's not what I meant, Chris.

I was just trying to give you an example.
