new HDD

    is there any good* hard drives for the macbook that i got it is late 2008 white macbook with 2.1GHZ 4GB RAM (came with 1) 320GB HDD (came with 120) i want it to be at least 1TB or higher not external a internal

    *good meaning fast, reliable, quite, not power hungry, and works in my computer

    I doubt it goes up to 1TB. I think those would be 2.5" or 3.5" drives. I think the laptop drives are a lot thinner.

    my mcabook hard drive is a 2.5" sata hard drive i just replaced it with one that is 320GB for 70$ but i already want to get a new one but it gots to be 1TB min. i will probally fill that fast also lol

    same here the one i found was only 110$ but i figured there would be one bigger that that i want 1TB lol i am a itunes addict (aprox. 400$ a month) lol

    1. The biggest drive you can get at 2.5"/SATA is 500GB @ 7200 RPM.
    2. Take note - anything other than the OEM size dive WILL create more heat.

    I got a 2.5" SATA 500GB/7200RPM from eBay for only $99 (incl S/H) - Runs awesome and a little warmer than the norm. My MacMini also has a 2.5" SATA 500GB/7200RPM drive and it hit around 142'F when just screwing around, but when using FCE it shoots up to 181'F.
