No offense, but do you seriously need to create a thread about this?

Just go in to soft upgrade's main thread and read the success/failure stories there.

It is NOT a Jailbreak. It is a PATCH.

    It patches 1.1.4 onto a 1.1.2 Jailbreak.

really? what exactly is bricking an ipod? does it mean it is unusable forever?

    Yes, I tried it....

16GB iPod Touch - week 2 of production...

It did not install. It "stalled" both times - threw the touch into recovery mode once and failed the second. This happened twice - once on a "restore"/JB from 1.1.1 - jailbroken to 1.1.2. Second time, a restore from 1.1.1 to the DevCon upgrade.

I tried a number of times both ways...

And - whoever says it BRICKs their Touch - needs to read more. An iPod Touch would be really difficult to "brick" - if it's possible at all.. My iPhones - if I'm really stupid - I could "brick". I don't believe a Touch can be "bricked solid".

Nope... That's an easy "fix" - not a "brick".

    Have a nice evening.
