Well this method worked fine for me. It got stuck on attepting to reboot but then i rebooted manually by holding power and home buttons. It then had the dock cable and itunes symbol and the battery symbol then it went to slide to unlock. Awsome!!!

this method worked great for me, im very happy to have a working 1.1.3 jailbreak that works with summerboard!
problem is: where do i put summerboard themes??
i guess it moved the files to another partition or something because on winscp, the only things under library are lockdown and prefferences. normally i would put themes in library/summerboard/themes but i cant find the file anywhere!
    can anyone help?

    nevermind i found it.
i think it was in root/mobile/library/summerboard

on another problem, some applications will not install for me. installer crashes. i know its not that im out of room because other apps i uninstall and reinstall fine that are much bigger. apps like sip-voip, tuneswiki, macalc all will not work and i dont know why. anyone have ideas?
and is customize not changing some images like the slider and battery icon for anyone else?

Same problem for me. Customize opens fine, but nothing changes. Wifi/Battery/Carrier/Anything wont change. Summerboard works amazingly (luckly).

I am getting crazy sick of this borrring slider, ugh! As for the applications not working, everything else seems to be working. I'll try SIP-VoIP after its done refreshing sources

What is the difference between the other dev team (no computer) jailbreak and this one? I know the gui and stuff, but any other modifications you have made?

This was the one that worked for me!

If your having problems jailbreaking to 1.1.3 or your jailbroken 1.1.3 touch has all kinds of problems, this is the method that worked for me.

    I skipped step 4 and 5 6 and went from a "clean" jailbroken 1.1.1 to 1.1.3

Step 1: Put your ipod into DFU mode.
Step 2: Go back to 1.1.1
Step 3: Jailbreak 1.1.1 using the tinyurl address
    Step 4: Install BSD Subsystem
    Step 5: Update Installer
Step 6: Install this Jailbreak App
Step 7: Run it and wait (Make sure auto-lock is off)
    Step 8: Enjoy 1.1.3!

Try not to get too mad if this has already been answered (having trouble loading pages, so i haven't checked every post yet) but I was having the same problem. This seems to occur if you were using mail before updating, whether you have since downgraded, restore, ect. I actually came across the answer in a solution to another problem. warning: installing the mail fixes will not help and neither will a new copy of mail

SSH to private/var/mobile and delete the entire Mail folder. respring, open mail, and proceed with the new account setup and everything will work.

This clean install from 1.1.1 to 1.1.3 worked perfect. Summerboard and wiggle work great. Not sure what you mean about webclips ... youtube works fine

Here were the problems i had prior to my listed steps

1.1.3 Installer would stop in the terminal window at the terminal and never get to a command prompt

1.1.3 Eventually did launch after I messed with uninstalling and reinstalling BSD, but the final resulting 1.1.3 load had all kinds of weird problems.

The mail passwords wouldn't stick even after loading the mail specific patches and wifi passwords wouldn't stick either. Wireless when it did work would drop when I exited the network configuration page

The problems I had aren't the same as yours on the surface, but I bet both our problems have the same root cause - Security problems

I was pretty sure my problems would go away if I forced 777 across the entire file system and making my ipod a win98 box, but I hate that option.
