Alright, so yesterday i bought the Apple Component AV cable from circuit city. I got home, plugged each color into its respective place. When i tried to watch video nothing happens, all i hear is sound. I searched google for answers and nowhere had a solution. I have tried to reboot and that didnt work. I'm using a 1st gen. jailbroken touch on 2.2. Anybody got any ideas, i don't want to have to return it to apple.

With video it should work if you have tv-out enabled on your iPod. If it is a real cable it will work.

Of course I know nothing of JB iPods, so it could be completely modified to an extent I don't know.

    Maybe the cable is faulty.

I've heard that the 2G uses different connectors, or something.
Really, all you can do is watch movies when connected to the TV. No for applications, if you were trying that.

Try putting different outputs in different inputs (Red in yellow, yellow in white, etc).
Maybe of those combinations would do the job.

If that doesn't work, I'd email Apple.
