I upgraded my 2nd gen iPod touch to 3.0, and now the boot is much longer, and boots weird. It now takes about 27 seconds to boot up. Specifically it spends 12 seconds at the Apple logo screen, then 15 seconds at just a black screen, then it goes to the lock screen, not the first page of apps like it should. I've tried restoring as a new iPod, and restoring with applying a backup. Anyone have any idea what to do, or as anyone else had this problem? Thanks

I think it's a bug in 3.0. But who cares... as long as it still boots.

The Black Screen is a SpringBoard Bug. I think you can remove the going to lockscreen with Supreme Preferences.

Alright, thanks a bunch, but I'm a n00b with this stuff, how would I get to that Supreme Preferences? Does it include jailbreaking? becausef mine isn't jailbroken.

Yea if you're not jailbroken then you can't really do anything but see if restoring fixes it. If you decide to jailbreak, then you can download Supreme Preferences from Cydia.

So let me get this straight. The 3.0 update causing it to boot to the lock screen is supposed to happen?

same on all 4 iDevices. i think it has to do with 3.0 itself. im guessing its normal.
