I have a first gen iPod touch. I've had it for about 1.5 years now.. it has always charged normally without any issues. It's never been jailbroked, or had any drops or anything that could damage it. Recently my iPod gave me the 20% warning, so I went to plug it in and it wouldn't connect. I've tried several cords since then, several USB ports on my computer, I've tried USB ports on other computers, AND I've tried the wall charger. None of which will connect it to iTunes nor will it charge.

I've tried to do the hard reset, but I know that it needs to connect to iTunes to do that, so it never works.

The iPod connection port looks fine, I can't seem to find any issues (like broken pins, or any other damage).

Any help would be appreciated at this time.
    Thank you,
    Mitch

Okay.. well now I know that it was a hardware issue. I've figured out how to connect it. But.. it's stuck in recovery mode, and everytime I try to restore it I get error 2002.

I called apple and they wanted $35 to troubleshoot.

Someone suggested "oneClickBoot" should I download this?

It's still stuck in recovery mode, gets to the screen where it shows the USB cable and iTunes. I connect it, and click on "Restore" it goes to restore then stops, saying there was an error. (Usually 13, or 2002).
