New Aluminium Macbook: Jailbreakability

    I was wondering it anyone has gotten a way around jailbreaking your iPod touch/iPhone on it. Also if not cant you jailbreak it via windows?

    i heard you can do it u just have to edit some .kext files :S

    There's a method outlined on the Dev Team Blog. I tried it on my Early 2008 White MacBook and got a kernel panic on startup, but others have said it's worked for them.

    I just had to download some thing from the Apple site.
    No messing with .kexts or anything.
    I just can't remember what it was -_-

    If your iPod is already jailbroken, you should be able to plug in your iPod normally (without going into DFU) and then just Option-Restore to a custom firmware. It worked for me.

    Simple way use a USB HUB. There is also a tool on hackint0sh samewhere that does the patching for you. Used it with no problems at all.

    Safest way is still a USB hub.
