New 8gig is not same as 2g!!

    look at the pricing. there are 2 different models. the ipod touch 8gb 2nd gen, and ipod touch 8gb LATE 2009!! that means there is a difference somewhere between the 2 models. im getting a new 8gig wednesday so ill kepp you posted. tell me what you all think!

    The only difference is the decrease in battery life for audio between the 2G and 3G.

    Correct.. old 8gb had 36 hours, now it has 30 hours.. apple won't give me a reason why...
    I know b/c I archived the ipod touch page right before Sep 9

    Steve said it was the same iPod, only cheaper in the keynote. But I think recent ones would have updated packaging for 3.0

    Perhaps it's due to OS 3.1 instead.
