new 3.0 firmware

    is 3.0 available for the 1st gen? and is it jailbreakable?!! cause i was thinking of upgrading but it needs to work with my ipod and i just have to have a jailbroken pod!!!!

    I think it is available for 1st gen but its not jailbreakable yet so you should wait until there is a jailbreak for it.

    Why wouldn't it work for the 1st Gen?

    No, it's not jailbroken yet, and it probably won't be for another week.

    While it will work for the 1G, it wont have some of the features, such as peer to peer. Just a few things to keep in mind.

    err what? are you kidding him or something? 1or 2 months lol! well it should be released (jailbreak) the day or day after 3.0 is released as the dev team have stated they already have a jailbreak for 3.0 but will not release until the full version because of the betas

    thats not the reason why they havent released....

    they havent released because currently, the final version is only for developers and the majority of users are not developers so why release something that would only be for a small crowd? makes no sense to do so.

    They also want to implement it into quickpwn, and also, they have lives. So if they aren't busy with their own lives, then they will probably release it. You guys have to stop thinking that this is the dev team's job. It's most defiantly not.

    they have not released because as they said they do not want to be playing cat and mouse with apple through the beta stages
