so, i discovered how to manually re-order the icons in 1.1.3/4, making an even more customizable home screen possible!!

also, i found out how to make the screen even more brigher!!
plus: how to turn the password protection off, via ssh, without needing to know the password.

here is what i would like to do:
first: i want to make an app for a PC/MAC that can turn the passwords off via usb, without knowing what the password is (for people who have forgotten what they are)
second: an app for the touch, that is similar to customize/settings that lets you re-order more effectivily you icons, turn off passwords (without knowing it), turn apprevel on/off, add the"<key>SBIsRevealable</key><true/>" to wanted apps, and lastly, change the screen brightness

i already know how to do all of this, but i need help making the actuall program to do it for you.....it could even be an attachment to settings.app

EDIT: ok, so it seems that "hxc maniac" discoverd this sooner, sorry, i didnt see his post

Here is my customized home screen:

PS: i am SOOOOO close to 5 dock icons, so that would be a plus....

I'm just curious, because i found something like this before.
Was it a file called com.apple.springboard.plist that gave you all these options?

Cause i also figured out how to put blank spaces but dont they go away if you hold an icon down to rearange the icons. Theres a lot more i found out too.

I don't understand. Most everything in that other thread is covered and changable by adding in my Advanced Prefereneces. As far as the icon order goes, that was kind of a "meh" when I looked at it.

If you want source code to my StatusStyle.app, just ask and I'll PM it to you, as it mods that exact same file.

lol you used our name "iSettings".

why don't you guys just develop other things, don't stay in the Preferences.app

I thought advanced preferences didn't work in 1.1.3/1.1.4?

It works perfectly. The only issue with any of the advanced preferences packages is that they need to modify the com.apple.sringboard.plist file, and SpringBoard doesn't give up control of that file without a fight. That's why it took me so long to get StatusStyle fully working on 1.1.3/4.
