ok, I set Auto-lock to on in NetServices and now, I can't get into the iPod, it just goes to the Slide to unlock screen and then once you slide, it goes right back. Help!!!?

WEll, I tried that and it boots to the home screen, freezes for a second, then jumps to the slide to unlock screen. UGH! What file controls the Auto lock setting? I'll try to replace it with iBrickr when I get home

Hangon, I don't think that we are on the same page. There is no passcode, just the slide to unlock screen, which is basically repetative, I unlock it, it goes back to the slide to unlock screen. I just want to know what files control these actions so that I can edit them, but I can't find them at all!

Well, when the iPod is in "lockdown" the wifi doesn't work, and it only logs into the network when the springboard is really running. I can however, get into it with iBrickr.

Wow, i feel really dumb for saying that. oh well.

Here's what I found. The binary that locks your ipod is /usr/lib/lockdownd

So, if you are feeling courageous, you could try moving the file. Im not sure if you want to do that tho. It may fix it, or it may force you to restore it (which may be what you have to do anyway). But I am in no way responsible if something major goes wrong. I cant get iBricker to work, so i wouldnt know if there was another way.

Well I went ahead and Force restored it, it was my last resort, but I will play with that lockdown file for future reference. Thanks
