Negative Videos New Issue!!!!!!!!

    go to the apple store,return, get a new one for free
    problem solved.

    weird, I have that happen when i launch the video picker, then press the home button. the animation from videos to home shows the screen as negative. must be a software issue.

    I've seen that issue before..A few weeks ago perhaps.. You should just return it if its yours.

    Yeah, without a doubt, return it. If you know it, please post the Week number. I sure hope its not a week above 37.

    Wait a negative screen. I have not heard of that. But I have heard of the screens being extremly dark.

    ive also had this problem..just restart your ipod and youll be fine..no need to freak out...

    Actually negative blacks were the main problem with quite a few Week 37s and many many Week 36s. Ever since Week 38 and above, the problem is practically eliminated. The blacks on the iPod look shiny resulting in details not showing up right.

    An engineer at Apple support forums said the problem is due to the AR coating, otherwise known as the Anti Reflective coating, which is a hardware issue, and not a software issue. Since then, Apple has already taken a measure of shuttting down one of thier processing plants which is why the Week 38's and above do not exhibit this issue.

    Restarting your iPod never works for this problem. Patch 1.1.1 does fix up some issues by changing the gamma settings, but sometimes, it screws up the screens that were near perfect to begin with on a Week 37. My recommendation is exchange or return and get a Week 38 or above to prevent this issue.
