The 2nd Laptop is £10 more, not a problem, I just wondered which one is going to be faster in practice?
I know 64 bit windows is faster in itself, but the 32 bit version comes with bigger RAM, also the 2nd Laptops processor is (I think) much better...

    Thanks for your help!

Also, I doubt it, but any chance either of these might do low end gaming?

I usually go intel for chances to hackintosh at a later date, but it is really up to you.
My current machine is AMD x4 9550 based with 6GB of RAM and it has trouble playing games due to crappy 256MB graphics. So it depends on graphics more.

Ya, the second one for sure. Only thing would be the 2gb of ram....if you want to play graphic intense games, you might want some more ram..

internet speeds arent going to be affected by your laptops specs besides for its internet card. If you mean can it handle all those things then either of them can definitley handle them without a problem. On my computer which has less than a gigabyte of RAM and an OLD dual core processor i run winxp, which is slow in itself, along with memory hog itunes, google chrome, video converters for movies, and also downloads of those movies, so your laptop will be able to do that and alot more

Thanks! Any idea which might be the quickest though? (With just £10 difference, I might aswell get the better one)

The i3 would be the better one. I would go with the Intel.

How about the difference between 64 bit and 32 bit?
