I have an iPod touch, 2nd generation, 32 gb, jail broken..
it has worked fine for the past 3 months. but when i upgraded iTunes to 8.2 it stopped connecting and iTunes said "iPod cannot connect" or something along those lines. I then disconnected it and reconnected and iTunes said "Unknown error (0xE8000065)".

I have tried restoring the iPod. Which worked until i needed to connect it to ITunes and it had the ITunes connect symbol. I have also tried reinstalling ITunes. And also iBoot Universal which is supposed to get passed the iTunes connect symbol.

I really need help here. I believe it could be something to do with the new version of iTunes not liking jailbreak. Please help me how ever you can. Thanks in advance.

Try Downgrading iTunes to 8.1.x, then restoring your iPod to 2.2.1. Then when you upgrade to iTunes 8.2, you should be fine.
