I have a chance at a 100 dollar 16gb Touch. The owner has buffed the back of it to prevent scratches other then that 1 small scratch that is only noticeable when you are on an all white page.

The thing is...its a Gen 1 Ipod. I heard and can understand that the 2nd gen is better... but i am wondering since this is so cheap if that weighs it out..haha

Any advice..it is my first Ipod anything

If you can, I would save up this summer and buy the next generation iPod when it comes out, probably September. $100 for the iPod you mentioned doesn't sound bad, but I haven't seen the condition of the device. Once again, if possible, I would wait for the new model.

yeah i would save the 100 dollars toward the next gen ipod, and a lot of things dont work with first gen anyway, like mics.
