My ipod touch is still under warranty but the warranty is almost done. I want to get a new ipod touch before my warranty runs out using the warranty. Is their any way how i can make my ipodtouch not work and still be able to replace it under the warranty rules.
    Thankyou

LOL. Put it in a hard case and drop it and rub dust in the connector ports and blow it up under the screen. Apple replaced my iPod because it had a light leak and dust under the screen. The trick is to have no dents on it. Dropping it in a hard case avoids dents. When you take it to them don't have it in a case.

You can use the command that erases everything in your ipod. Absolutely everything. Its a sudo something command.

So you want advice on how to rip off Apple? If they replace it under warranty your not going to get a new warranty anyways. If they replace it under warranty the replacement has a warranty of 90 days or the remainder of your original warranty period whichever is longer. I wouldn't take the risk of trying to ruin your current ipod in some way to see if they will replace it just for an additional 90 days of warranty coverage. If you mess it up purposely and for some reason they deny your warranty claim, then you are stuck with a broken one.
