Alright, i just accidentally dropped my ipod touch in water. It was playing music before i dropped it, then the sound turned off but everything else was ok. A few seconds later the screen started turning white. Now it is not doing anything. What do I do? Please help.

    Thanks

Put it in an air tight container of dry uncooked white rice for a few days to wick all the moisture out.

turn it off!!!!!!!!! dont turn it on again until a week. (longer the better) put it into a bag of rice and leave it somewhere hot.

Okay, I am not trying to scare you, but you most likely fried the insides because you tried to turn it on. But, you can put your iPod in rice for 2 weeks and see what happens. Good luck and sorry mate.

you cant get a refund/exchange because warranties from stores and apple dont cover water damage. You might however be able to exchange it at the store if the clerk does not notice. You can also try selling on ebay for parts

There is a magical little piece of paper in your headphone jack that turns red when you expose it to water. Before doing a software diagnostics check on your iPod, an Apple employee will do a hardware check. That involves shining a flashlight down your headphone jack. Any other store in their right mind will do the same. Additionally, it's highly unlikely that other stores will allow you to return a product that you not only did not purchase from them but is also broken from your misuse.
