Sorry if I sound really nooby by titling this thread like that, but I really need some help. I have been jailbreaking my iPod, following all of the instructions. The screen went white, I opened iTunes and restored it with my custom 211pwn.ipsw file. I then closed iTunes and followed the coding instructions, and put them into Terminal (I'm on a Mac by the way)

    This is what came up:
    Code:
    Connecting...
Apple Mobile Device not found in Recovery or DFU
    scott-garys-macbook-2:rslite scottgary$ !iBSS211.dfu
    -bash: !iBSS211.dfu: event not found
    scott-garys-macbook-2:rslite scottgary$ ./rslite
rslite - by the iPhone Dev Team, 2009.

    scott-garys-macbook-2:rslite scottgary$ #pwn211ibss.txt
    scott-garys-macbook-2:rslite scottgary$ !iBSS221pwn.dfu
    -bash: !iBSS221pwn.dfu: event not found
    scott-garys-macbook-2:rslite scottgary$ ./rslite

    -bash: !iBoot221pwn.img3: event not found
    scott-garys-macbook-2:rslite scottgary$

Can anyone see what I did wrong? Now my iPod won't turn on either.
    Thanks

You need to put it in DFU mode and then finish

Okay, I put it back into DFU mode. Thank you very much for the help, but when I click on restore and try to restore it with my 211pwn.ipsw file, it says that the iPod could not be restored because an unknown error occured, any ideas?

You don't need to restore. You just need to run the last 4 terminal commands ending with the iBoot one and you will be good.

If you already installed the custom firmware thats all that is left. Put into DFU, run rslite, it should be recognized and enter the commands

This is right where I'm at, I can't put my ipod into DFU while its off.
    What was your mistake?
Maybe I'm doing the same thing.
