When I try to power it up it says "Restore with iTunes" with a picture of a USB cord
So I plug it in my computer and restore with iTunes. Unfortunately, everytime I do this, an error pops up in the middle of the restore, saying unknown error (1439)

What can I do? Cant restore and I have to..

    Thanks!..

You'd need to restore using another version of iTunes. Try the latest version & see....

I'm using the latest version (8.2) on Windows Vista
Where can I download an older version of iTunes?

Put it in recovery mode & restore.

iTunes already detect it as an iPod in recovery mode
I'm guessing it's dead, can't restore but I have to

    Did you try 8.2.1?
