Hey guys sorry if this is a repeat but I have seriously tried the search button several different ways and can't seem to find anything on this. I accidentally updated my iphone 3g to 4.0.1 yesterday I have tried to do the redsn0w jailbreak using 4.0 but it keeps giving me an error that it can't recognize the firmware I select. I don't know if I'm missing something or what. Is there another way to jailbreak 4.0.1? I have an MB IPhone 3g with 5.13.04
    Thanks guys!

Try pointing it to the 4.0 IPSW instead of the 4.0.1.

Well, I think you should've read a few tutorials before trying a potentially risky task.
