Now, before you all start yelling at me screaming "Dummy!!! iMovie cant b usd with ipt2g!!! no camra durrrrr...."

I just want to see if I can get it to open. Now, my friend, who has an iPhone4, supplied me with the proper IPA file. I just need a way to open the file. Is there any way to open an IPA file??

If this will earn me an infraction, please lemme know and I'll take it straight off.

Yeah sharing .ipa files is considered piracy

you can't let it run on the iPod Touch. I might be able to port it to the iPod Touch, but I don't want to waste my money just in case it doesn't work.

Try editing the info.plist in the IPA to allow for it to be installed on the older devices... it would probably be useless though because you won't have videos.

honestly, all you have to do is go to the ipa right click and press show package contents and then edit the plist for everything that says "4.0" or like "Iphoneos4" or "Iphone4" to something like "3" or "3.1.3" or something. figure it out, you will get it eventually with little trial and error. but since it is an ipod touch 2g, then it will be extremely laggy, so good luck!

A plist is actually an XML file in disguise. Any web editor (even notepad) can edit these files.

In order to run the app, however, you'll have to buy it yourself. Meaning spending 5 bucks to see how it opens on an iPod. The IPA will not run on your device, no matter how hard you try because it is not code signed for you. Changing this is considered illegal activity (Hacking/Cracking).

You need to edit it by changing the 4.0 to 3.0 or something and changing the camera to <false>

Alternitavely you can use a pre edited file here

I did this but it keep crashing.

I would get that off. You can't say the word -------- it is against the rules to pirate. You could get banned.
