Sorry if the title wasn't the best. I bought an iPod Touch soon after I learned about Jailbreaking (years ago), It was a 2G. Sadly soon after the warrenty expired the very left of the screen stopped working (about 1/4 an inch is unresponsive to touch).

I'd be fine with this but I can't type in '1' or '-', which is destroying my ability to type and some games are annoying at best to use. I believe somewhere I saw an application that allows you to change the x/y position or offset of the 'touch', calibration? This would make me jump for joy if there is such an application setting, as I just need such a SMALL offset to be able to type/use that portion.

I have the latest Cydia and can SSH (Firmware 2.2.1 I believe), so i'm not limited on options if there are any that require them.

If you download Advanced Prefrences from Cydia there are options about the 'touch'
    though it doesn't explain them

I think it may just be touch sensitivity.

Cydia broke, and I was on a year old jailbreak (2.2.1 using the first newly released JB for 2G ipod touch) so it took quite awhile to reinstall with 3.1.2 or whatnot, but that's all there.

I managed to installed extended/advanced prefs and enabled them in WB but in the settings there aren't any options relating to the screen, I looked quite thoroughly because advanced prefs said it would allow it..

Anything at all to modify the touch screen position would help
