Hi, I'm working on another translation for the app Pocket touch. And I haven't got it to work, so I was wondering if I use the correct method to create such a file.
So what I do is I take a file from the software called "Localizable.strings" and I change some stuff that's not really relevant since I know I'm changing the right stuff. Then when I save (I think that the problem lies here somewhere) I press "save as"
    File name: Localizable.strings
    File formate: All formates
    Coding: ANSI
Then I just place the file back in the app.
Did you catch any errors, please tell me how it's meant to be done

i think you just open it in notpad and then click save. or just make a copy of another string file and then modify what you want and then save it. that is how i do it.

    Open it in a notepad.

    Go to Save As
    Choose "Save as... All Files"

    Then type "FILENAME.strings"

Just save it as a plain text file, then rename the extension to strings. Easy.

Abcmsaj and SkylarEC answered your question perfectly. On a side note, I wanted to mention that with the new iPodTouchFans rules in effect, I would advise you not to double post or you'll be banned for one day.
