hold the home and power buttons until the "usb device is not recognized!" disappears and then just the home button till you hear the tone on your computer.

    What should I do then??

How come everything was working perfectly fine and suddenly it just goes black when i "reboot" from cydia?

If i open iTunes and put it in DFU mode, it will ask me to do recovery.. should i do that? and repeat the steps listed by cyw00d?

I jailbreak using cyw00d and it was successfully done.

Later i installed "winterboard" from Cydia and it asked me to press "reboot" from ipod screen and so i did.

ANd it just went black and now iTunes cannot recognize the device.

Right now, I managed to get iTunes to recognize the device but it is asking me to do a recovery.. Should i be doing that?

i think you're missing the part where you're ipod is tethered, and you need to put it into dfu mode and send some irecovery commands (or use a boot tool) to boot it each time you turn it off/restart.

are you sure you know what 'tethered' means?
get into dfu (power and home buttons for 10 seconds, then just home for seven to eight or untill it brings up itunes) and do cyw00d's gui but only steps 5-7.

Im really sorry to trouble you guys here.

But i managed to get it up and running again!

Thanks again. Really really appreciate all your help here!

So does that means, everytime the program requires me to reboot, i will need to redo all the steps 5 to 7?
