I have been completely unable to find any resources that can get me started developing for the iPod Touch. I have searched far and wide (in these forums, on the various pages that are supposed to be the iPhoneDev wiki's, general googling) but I haven't found any lead.

I have a number of Cocoa apps that I'd love to make available on the iPod, but I just can't find the initial information to get started: which cross-compiler to get, which toolchain (configure/make, xcode-based, whatever), where to get/hack/put together the developer versions of the frameworks, etc.

Yes, I know I can wait until February when Apple will release the official developer kit, but I'd like to get started right now.

And, please, if you feel like replying with a reference to the "search" button, as happened to the various other people that posted similar questions on these forums, could you also give something of a hint on *what to search for*?

That should be all you need to get everything set-up!
