Allrighty, I need to download some stuff off of sendspace. I'm looking to download a 1GB file but my ISP (Hughes Net) will only let me download 200MB a day. If i go past that 200MB limit, my internet speeds are reduced to about 1.3 kbps which is just unbarable. It takes like 30 seconds just to load Google. And i can't get DSL because of where i live. :'( :'( >:-(
Now, I was thinking of downloading the file at school. Our school's internet is faster, but I can't download 1GB in a 42 minute period.

    Okay, enough talk.

With a flash drive, how can i pause a download, take the flash drive to another computer, and continue the download? But i need to be saving the file to my flash drive the whole time. Not the computer's hard drive.

Do i need to install a download manager to my flash drive? I'm pretty much clueless on what to do.

Any help, i will thank you forever

Man that is badass, the maximum that company should charge you is 2p an hour, unless it's free. Google is all i can suggest. There's some program around that allows you to split and merge files. so i guess that is what you want? cool.

You wont be able to split the files.

Perhaps ask a teacher if you can leave a download on for a couple of hours on a PC in a relatively private area...?

Thats about the only conceivable way of doing this. I have never heard of someone being able to pick up a paused download on another machine.

Could i use like a download manager? Maybe install the download manager to my flash drive?

I want to save the files to my flash drive. not the computer's hard drive.

It might work if it weren't for the fact you are downloading from sendspace. They change the file location for each person which is why you can't get a direct download but have to press a button first. So even if you get a download manager it is not likely to work at all.

ugh. thanks for that info man. i didnt know that.

Sendspace is the only upload thing not "blocked" from my school.

[PIRACY.mu], [PIRACY.rs], ect. are all blocked and i have no access to them at school.
