    Hello guys,

I need some help. I have already backed up my SHSH blobs on 3.1.3

I recently updated to iOS 4.0 = bad choice.

I want to downgrade back to 3.1.3, I have already tried the TinyTSS method here but iTunes returns a 3194 error when verifying. It looks like the TinyTSS is not doing its job.

Then, i tried tinyumbrella, which had a TSS server built in. I placed my SHSH file in its cache folder. Same problem with iTunes.

I have tried this on iTunes 9.0.1, 9.1 and 9.2 and all problems persist. I have done all this in DFU Mode.

Is there any way for me to get back down to 3.1.3? Any success stories here?

Thanks in advance and I really hope I get some help here.

Guys! I successfully downgraded my iPod Touch from 4.0 to 3.1.3.

Here one tip. Add these few entries into the hosts file.

    127.0.0.1 phobos.apple.com
    127.0.0.1 deimos3.apple.com
    127.0.0.1 albert.apple.com
    127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
    127.0.0.1 itunes.apple.com
    127.0.0.1 ax.itunes.apple.com

because Apple does not only ping its gs.apple.com server, it may ping the others too. I tried this and I'm now on 3.1.3!

Did not work on my 3G 32GB. Get error that apple can not be contacted. I need to downgrade as I can not connect to ANY wifi. I even tried the open wifi at the apple store.

That's not true, both 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 can no longer be restored. You will need SHSH blobs backed up on the corresponding FW version to downgrade.
