Hello everybody, I'm a noob in this headphone world

I bought a pair of skullcandy hesh before (they broke after 3 months)
sound quality was ok, good bass

Then a few months ago I started using the bose in ear headphones which are pretty good and I still use them however now I am attracted back to the Circumaural headphone style, and this time I have a bit of money to spend

I will be listening to all kinds of music
I want the bass to be heard but I don't want it "dominating" all the music
I want it to cancel out most sound to an extent
I will be using these mostly at home but my house is loud, (4 little siblings, I share a room with 2 of them)
I want the sound quality to be good

Here are the three main ones i have been thinking about

    Sennheiser HD-595

Monster beats by dre (tried them on at bestbuy today and they were really nice, canceled most nice but not all)

The reason I am afraid to order the denons or the sennheisrs is because I can't try them on and listen to them before I purchase them, I can do that with the beats at bestbuy

I have also looked at the AKG models (they look badass)

I will be using them to listen to music with my iphone and mainly my laptop itunes

I won't be buying an amp.....

(chung thank you for helping me before but I want to be absolutely sure I'm spending my money wisely so I decided to make this poll. I also think I used my skullcandies recently, they broke about a month ago so I have not used them in a while)

Denon or Sennheiser. Don't get the Beats. They're not worth the price.

hmmmm, I may go back to bestbuy and study the beats a little more......Im not to worried about the price, I usually am but for some reason not so much....

do the seinhesser block out most noise around you?

edit: nvm not the beats, too many ppl are saying not to get them and the audiphiles on head-fi forums have not recommended them

    They say get the

denon but with an amp (thats a lot of cash and I don't know anything about amps, or how to use them)might as well buy the senhessier hd 650s for that price....

    or the seinhessers 595.....

No. The Sennheiser HD 595 have an open design which means that you can hear ambient sounds and your music leaks.

    Check head-fi.org

Are you guys just voting for the Sennheisers because they're Sennheisers?
