My itouch isn't even recognized on my mac-what did I do and can i get everything i lost back. Lastly-is there a way for someone to bypass my password and do this? I suspect my soon to be ex-husband that believes hes the hacker all mighty.

Someone most likely pressed the "Erase all Data" button under settings.

And try DFU mode to get it recognized by your mac.

You were playing a game until your Battery Died and suddenly when you turn it on, Everything is wiped. Is this correct?

You didn't do anything else? Need more Information.

This seems fake. I can't see that sort of catastrophic failure just from a dieing battery.
And if you were using it at the time, how would your hubby go and erase everything? As far as im aware, there is no time bomb virus for the device.
