I am going to be purchasing an iPhone 2g off of craigslist, apparently the mobo's locked from what i read abt his post (not turning on with no water dammage) so i need to completely get all the electricity out of the iPhone and charge it up and restore it via DFU of course, now I stopped using iPhone OS when the ipod touch 3g jailbreak had come out (non tethered), im familliar with pwnage tool but im not on my mac anymore -_- i also am familliar with blackra1n, now Im going to be using t-mobile and im questioning the best way to jailbreak and unlock it, I also am wworried about runnning into activation issues, can i use the latest firmware restore to it jailbreak then unlock it? if a moderator could answer these questions itd be much appreciated thanks for anyone taking the time to read this

Why a Moderator? Anyone on here could answer those questions.

Yes you can unlock it, jailbreak it with blackra1n on 3.1.2 and download bootlegger from Cydia to unlock it. Then insert your aim card and your good to go.

It's actually called Bootneuter. I prefer Redsn0w over blackra1n, but that's just personal preference.
