    I'm planning to jailbreak my ipod touch 2G (2.2.1), using QuickFreedom ('coz - with a quick glance - I think this'll be the easiest way to do it)...now, my question is:

    1. what are the risks that I'm facing (I mean, if I made some "error/mistakes" in the process, is there a chance that it might make my ipod unusable?

    2. i have few games which I bought in itunes store, will I still be able to play it? (and will I still be able to buy games again in itunes store?

    TIA for any help you can give me...take care!

    well, actually the redsn0w quickpwn beta is easier than quickfreedom IMO... no ipsws and stuff. Just d/l it from redsn0w.com and run it (in winxp sp2 compat. mode on vista), put it in DFU and go! the upside of redsn0w is that logome will work with it.
    You'll be able to reinstall your app store apps, and still use the app store after you jailbreak. you'll lose your game saves, tho.
    Be sure to do a backup in itunes before you jb, as well, to at least backup your contacts and stuff.

    No. The Only Real Risk Results In You Having To Restore And Starting Again.

    Yes Of Course

    Thanks mitch, but I've already jailbroken it using redsnow.....took me around 5 minutes (thank God, no error at all - I supposed, since I didn't get any 'error" messages, and the Cydia icon now shows).....(dumb question maybe, but is there a way to tell if an ipod is already jailbroken or not?

    )

    ...well, I just hope that customizing will be just as "easy" (too bad, I can't try winterboard right now since I don't have a WIFI connection)

    Again, thank you.

    I Think It Lets You Connect Your iPod To The Internet Via The USB Cable So No Need For Wifi
