are you interested in building your own pc or just buying one from dell or w/e you can get a much better computer if you build it yourself. of course the sims 3 isn't that graphics intensive of a game so an average computer from dell should do fine.

Total price (w/o monitor, keyboard, mouse,...) => £799,53

Here ya go mate, this pc will be able to play all games on max. settings (on a quite normal resolution). I opted for AMD, because they are currently bang for the bucks.

All prices come from Scan.co.uk, VAT included.

okay so i think it would be better if you built your own pc. you can get a far better computer for the money and it seems like you will want to play a little more than the sims. the only problem is that i'm assuming your in the uk. i would usually go with newegg but they dont ship to the uk. i've heard of overclock.co.uk so ill use that unless someone else has a better site.

also do you have any preferences?
    • intel or amd
    • nividia or ati
    • how big of a hard drive do you need
    • how much RAM
and any other things you want

disregard that then. if you need a laptop I've always gone with a macbook or a dell. and since you need it for gaming mac is out of the picture and you dont like dell. what brands do you like?

You aren't willing to game on a notebook, aren't you? It could play Sims 3 but don't expect serious hardware for a notebook around 500-800 quid.

dell is the only site where i could find a way to customize the computer itself.

    Dell Studio 15
it also seems to be the best deal for just 800 euro you get a core i5, a 1 gb ati 5470, windows home premium, and 4 gb of ddr3 ram.
