I have a iPod Touch 2G (8GB) and was wondering what the speed differences between having (native multitasking enabled) and just having the regular jailbroken 4.0

I’m not sure if enabling native multitasking (native wallpapers are disabled) can really slow down my iPod 2G that much. Would it be better speed wise if I disabled multitasking or should I enable it.

So bottom line, Which is faster? An iPod Touch 2G with or without native multitasking?

Thinking back to what Steve Jobs said about how 2nd Gens don’t have enough RAM to run multitasking?

Well, I don't have a touch 2G, but on my 3G, it's super fast w/o the multitasking enabled. Also, OP, I love your avatar.

multitasking ran fine on my 2g. It was wallpapers that slowed down my ipod (even after the shadows were removed)
If it really bothers you then your better off getting rid of it

Where is the sped up option? My iPod touch 2nd gen sped up to around 4 or 5 times its original speed after enabling multitasking even when I have over 50 applications running in the background.
