I know, you've been waiting for this loong long time.
    I proudly present:
    iPod Touch to iPod nano

    Developers:
    Viljar, SMEAGOL303, Xavier.
    Help from: Matthew98,lill_postiz,(Legend).

    Get it from:
    http://www.drivendesign.us/
    http://viljark.pri.ee/
If you download it from Driven's website, then load the following resource: link.

    Installation:
Change your main menu from settings, so it would look like that:
    Music
    Photos
    Extras
    Settings
    Now Playing

    1# Resources and images:
Open iPW and change Edit Mode to iPod.
    Press load button.
Go to Pictures tab and press load all, then search for the iTouch images directory and load.
Go to Layout tab and select Scheme Layout, click Load All and search for Layout directory and load.
Now select Font Types from dropdown menu.
Press load all and search for Font Types directory and load.
Then go to Strings tab, change Lang block to 24 and press Load List button
    Load the Lang-24.txt file.
Now press Write to iPod and wait until it finishes, then Eject and enjoy!!!

    2# Firmware file:
Open iPW and change Edit Mode to iPod.
    Press Open Firmware button
Browse for iTouch_nano file and load it.
Press Write to iPod nd wait until it finishes, then Eject and enjoy!!!

    Note:
You maybe have to reflash your firmware, when changing boot picture

    Bugs:
Music Quiz is messed up, titlebar is gone for all games, so you can't see song and score.
Calendar and Contact menu is messed up, font is black and the main menu background shows up.
It isn't finished, we couldn't handle some things and we were out of motivation.

    Troubleshooting
If you have trouble installing this hack, these tips may help you.

    - Make sure you are running the latest version of iPodWizard, which is 1.3.0.7.
    - Make sure no other programs are accessing your iPod.
    - Make sure you don't unplug your iPod before it is ready.

If you have a reboot loop:
Go into disk mode by holding Center and Play until the Disk Mode screen appears. Connect to your computer and load a clean firmware.

This firmware cannot, and will not, brick your iPod.

    Enjoy!

Basically (from what I've read) it appears to 'skin' you iPhone/iPod Touch the same way as a iPod Nano?

A friend forwarded this to me, hope it pleases someone

interesting... but totally confusing guide. would really love to try it out though!

still not sure if it's for the ipod touch or for the nano.... because the guide refers to doing things on both :S

Its for the iPod nano, its a theme basically. Back before I got my touch I use to have this mod on my iPod Video, pretty cool.

This is a mod for an iPod nano to make it look like an iPod touch.

As I posted in the opening post a friend forwarded me this.

By what I understand it's like a mod/theme to make your iPod Touch look like the iPod Nano natively.

Edited the bold part in first post.

Incorrect. It is a mod for the iPod nano. Once applied, the iPod nano will have an interface similar to that of an iPod touch. They've done this with the iPod classic too, my friend installed it on his for a bit.

Are there any "jailbreaks" for the 2G nanos yet?

Lol, geesh, why are all the 2G's so hard to hack!
