    Settings > Music > Soundcheck

I have it set to "off".

What exactly will this do if it's turned "on" ?

It lets you hear all of your songs at the same volume.

It basically takes the loud songs and quiet songs in your music library and adjusts the volume of the song so that you don't hear a quiet song and then get blasted with a loud one. =P
It drains battery and is, in my opinion, pretty worthless.
