    With MyWi you pay once for the app. With Verizon you are probably paying extra monthly for the Personal Hotspot, if not stick with that. As for speed I assume they are both the same speed as whatever your 3G/4G connection would be.

    I'm on an employee plan so I pay like $5 for hotspot capabilities, so that price doesn't matter to me. I just want to know if their are any added advantages to having MyWi over the native hotspot.

    Since you are not concerned about the price there is no other advantage. No matter what you use to tether your client device your online speed can only be as fast as the connection your server device has be it 4G, 3G, EDGE or what have you.

    Yeah, but with alternatives like TetherMe for $5, I'd rather just save the cash. I'll buy it if I need its features in the future, though.
