Just did your procedure, and it worked just as it should. However, I ignored your big capital letter warning about stopping at the restore from backup screen, because I didn't want to re-do my application settings. There is a side effect of that; Mail crashes when opened. But I'm working on a fix as we speak (does anyone know one?)

OK. I have a problem. When I've done all this stuff :

0. Restore ipod to 1.1.3, do not go any further than the set up new ipod screen
1. Turn off ipod. (the right way)
2. Enter recovery mode using the power + home button method, OR, use iphuc and type enterrecovery (iphuc can be located at : http://iphone-elite.googlecode.com/f...%20Windows.rar)
3. Pull your ipod out of the dock (terminate the processes applemobile device, itunes helper)
4. Open up the ziphone gui method and check jailbreak + activate or just jailbreak......(as long as you dont check unlock, which is why you wll get major 2, minor 0)
5. Click on free my iphone
6. Will tell you to connect your iphone
7. Plug in your ipod

and my ipod is black sreened right now and when I've got scared and pushed the Stop button and tried to switch my ipod on i just couldn't. Any ideas? How long should the 7th point last?

Well it was a good thing that you didn't see the connect to itunes image anymore, and it was probably restarting. I wouldn't mess with your ipod much for now, just wait for an official guide, otherwise you will be trying this all night long.

For some reason the edit button doesn't want to appear, so I'll just quote myself. Anyway, I fixed my self-inflicted problem by deleting the /private/var/mobile/Library/Mail/ folder. But probably all you need to do is delete the file in that folder called "AutoFetchEnable", or something.

i picking up my iPhone tuesday, i want to jailbreak but i havea contract with AT&T and want to sign up for the iphone data plans. All i wan to know is how can i sign up for the plans and just Jailbreak it?

Well, when you run the ZIPhone program, you pick only the Jailbreak option.
