No, I already did that, and now iTunes says it's in Recovery mode and it must be restored... What do I do now?

Well you obviously did it wrong.
If you ran the boot.bat and your in recovery mode,
    then you either:
    1) didnt restore to a jailbroken (patched) firmware.
    2) weren't in DFU mode.

Try it again from the begining.

Ok just got finished with boot.bat
I've still got a white screen, I'm assuming something just happens afterwards?

I seriously wish a Moderator would check out my thread and sticky it.
Im sure everyone else who has been sucessful with this agrees this is the easiest way yet.
I dont know how to make a GUI, otherwise I would. =/

You didnt enter all the commands from the README correct then.

I'm on the step where I'm running jailbreak.bat, but I can't get the screen to turn white. Am I supposed to the the little itunes symbol and usb plug on the screen?

    Welcome to Ipodtouchfans!

And you have to make it useing Xpwn.
It tells how in the README.

It will end up in the Xpwn folder.

is the jailbreak folder on your desktop?
not in your documents or something.

They ALL have to be in the correct place for the batch file to work.
