Hi all! I'm new to the forums and this is my first post.

I just purchased a 8GB iPod Touch 2G from my favorite online retailer and I can't wait for it to arrive. It should be here in the next couple of days and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I'm leaning towards buying the RebelTouch case I saw reviewed on this site too so that I can protect my purchase.

A couple of things I noticed about the site:
    1. 2G owners are anxious for a jailbreak. I'm just happy to be getting a new toy to play with.
    2. Some people get very upset when others call it an iTouch instead of an iPod Touch. Does it really matter that much? (Ducks for cover...)

See you guys and girls on the forums.

As for point #1, good on you for simply appreciating the mastery that the Touch already has to offer
As for point #2, for some immature people, it matters, just like you should stay out of conversations/debates about is jailbreaking good vs. not good. They just get heated and no one ever changes anybody's opinion anyways.

    Anyhoo, enjoy your Touch!

I have only just brought my 8gb 2g ipod touch and i know that you will have a great time with it.
You will fine alot of people talking about jailbreaking the 2nd generation ipod touch but to be honest i just think they should stop worrying about that and just enjoy the ipod touch like normal.

See you in the forums soon!

Congratulations of your purchase. Definitely pay a look to the 'Game Reviews' section of the forum to find our about games you might want to purchase. Games will only ncrease the lifespan of your iPod.

I'll be sure to check that out. Games and apps are two of the biggest reason I bought one.

Wow, could this possibly be the first person to search around the forums before posting something?

    I'm amazed.
And yes, you are correct on both of those points.
I'm one of those people that do not like the word, 'iTouch.'
I just haven't said anything... yet

    .

I recently bought a RebelTouch case and have had it for 3 days. So far I love it. I recommend buying it, it looks pretty cool and offers great protection.
