iPod Touch original edition jailbroken to 2.1 i believe.
one day it stopped syncing to itunes, my computer stopped recognizing it.
    tried different usb ports.
    no good.
    tried a different usb cord.
    no good.
    tried a different COMPUTER.
    no good.
    reinstalled itunes.
    no good.
i can still charge it and use it via Wall Outlet Charger.

    i force restored.
when it comes to the part where the apple logo comes up and then the itunes logo comes up tellin me to connect to itunes, i connect my ipod touch to my computer getting ready to restore it, and guess what? device not recognized

    so basically
i cant use my ipod anymore since theres just a apple logo on it and i cant restore it, i lost all my songs for nothing, and yeah, i doubt anyone can help me. i dont even know if i can send this in to get fixed.

Did you check your usb cord? It sounds like your ipod works fine, its just that you cant hook it up to your computer. Maybe its the cord thats broken

no no no no no go into add remove program and remove itunes completely that means remove apple mobile device support not just turn it off. restart your computer and completely reinstall everything and hope for the best.
