A couple of days ago, I was using my previous 3.0 firmware to jailbreak my iPod. I saw all my firmwares in my folder (1.1.1, 1.1.2...etc).

After I downloaded 3.1.1, I checked my folder and all my previous firmwares have been deleted.

I've paid for all my software updates.

Did anyone else get this problem?

ITunes 9 gets rid of all old firmware. It's something it should have always done, if you ask me. The firmwares start to add up in disk space, especially if you have 1.1 - 3.1.

    Oh right,
Damn, I wanted some sort of collection of firmwares. Haha.

There are downloads of the firmwares available all over the internet if you really need them. In most cases, you just don't. As far as I can remember, I've never had to use any of the past firmwares after moving on to the next. Total waste of space.

I think it's a good thing to clean up that kind of stuff.

If you really want to find your firmware after iTunes 9 is installed, just check your Recycle Bin (Windows PC)... Everything will be there in good shape, just waiting to be deleted!
