My prediction

    When apple releases the SDK, they will ask you to pay probably about $1 or $2 to download apps for your ipod touch and iphone from itunes, even if they're made by people from 3rd party. I also guess that to convince people to make these SDK programs, they might give them half of the profit made off it through itunes.

    That is my prediction. Then it would provide a good reason for apple to be against people unlocking their ipod touch so much.

    i believe steve already stated taht the developer gets around 75% of the profit from their apps....

    The only thing Steve said about the SDK was "February" and that security was a concern. Where are these "75%" and "$0-$6" numbers coming from?

    Oh, so thats fake then. Thank god. they're not gonna charge 2$ an app for 5 apps + some special features and then charge $6 for user made apps.
