It looks as if Apple is going to need to release a 1.1.5 very soon, considering all of the bugs that everyone here has found. Other options include "unreleasing" 1.1.4 and removing it from upgrades, telling users to downgrade.

This happened way too quickly. Seems like it was rushed software, which is never stable. I would love to go up to 1.1.4 to look at al the nice fixes, but it doesn't seem worth it.

While I'm thinking about it, does anyone on 1.1.4 notice if safari handles long strings of text better? For example, I'm writting this on my iPod and as I keep typing I notice that my keyboards lags more and more.

    Comments appreciated.

ok... For me 1.1.4 has been the best firmware yet. It runs significantly faster and smoother... And large sites like myspace now load almost instantaneously for me. Idk where you're getting the idea its incredibly unstable... But you definitely heard wrong.

And what are all these bugs that people found? I hope you aren't refering to us who are jailbreaking because Apple isn't really interested in us having problems hacking their devices. They are worried about people who have stock iPods/iPhones and I don't see any bugs yet.

He must be talking about the extra space 1.1.4 takes up on the iPod because all the firmware is over 100MB. Most likely a prep for SDK apps to come.
