    Sorry to bump.

I am getting the same problem - cannot find the mail settings (in Settings). I have tried to install Supreme Preferences, but it comes up with iPod Touch < 3.0 so I can't use that either.

My firmware is 3.1.2 and it is jailbreaked using blackra1n's RC2 jailbreak.

    Can anyone help?

Might be a little late, but I just had this problem. I had to uncheck the "Extended Preferences" item in my winterboard app. After that I was able to access my mail in the settings.

    Hope this helps!

Paulzie thank you!!!! You saved me a ton of aggravation today. I know this thread was from a few months back but a quick search enabled me to find this and get the help I needed with this problem.
