When I connect my old 4GB iPod, it is recognised straight away by my iTunes. But when i connect my new iPod touch, after the egg-timer, etc. nothing happens.

I have uninstalled and installed iTunes on several occasions, and that has not changed anything.

My iPod touch worked perfectly well when I took it back to the shop.

    Any ideas?

Is your iTunes up to date? If not go to the software update part in itunes and update it. Also try resetting your ipod then hooking it up... sometimes that does the trick....
